Check attendance
Check attendance
Section titled “Check attendance”The attendance view is where you answer day-to-day questions about who was present, late, absent, or partially recorded.
Two ways to view attendance
Section titled “Two ways to view attendance”BioTrack supports:
- Daily view for one date at a time
- Range view for wider date-based review
Daily view is best when a manager asks, “Who was here today?” Range view is better when you need a history for a specific employee or status.
What each record shows
Section titled “What each record shows”Attendance records can include:
- employee name
- date
- check-in time
- check-out time
- total hours
- attendance status
Attendance statuses
Section titled “Attendance statuses”You may see these status values:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Present | A normal attendance record was captured |
| Late | The employee checked in after the configured late threshold |
| Absent | No qualifying attendance was recorded for the expected workday |
| Half-day | Only a partial attendance pattern was recorded |
| Present (Pre-setup) | BioTrack inferred presence from data captured before full setup was completed |
Search and filtering
Section titled “Search and filtering”Use the built-in filters to narrow what you see:
- search by employee name
- filter by status
- choose a date or date range
This is the fastest path when someone asks for one person’s attendance over several days.
Exporting attendance
Section titled “Exporting attendance”You can export attendance after applying the filters you need. The export will follow the active date rules and status filters, so always check the visible filters before exporting.
When attendance looks wrong
Section titled “When attendance looks wrong”If records appear incomplete:
- confirm the employee exists in the employee list
- check whether the device is connected
- review whether the employee was synced recently
- consult Common questions
